🎉 Welcome to The Seven Hills Spotlight! 🎉 I have been sending this newsletter out for the past 6 months in one form or another. My wife and I sit down every few weeks to check our calendars to see what events we might like to support or attend. These always include Rome Little Theatre, Rome Shakespeare, Rome International Film Festival, Shorter University Theatre, Berry College Theatre, Rome Festival Brass, and Rome’s Own Music Ensembles. Sadly, there is no place that has a single inclusive calendar that includes all of these events.

The Screen Door Room at Cecil T’s Mercantile will host acclaimed singer-songwriter A. Lee Edwards in downtown Rome on Saturday, July 25, from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.
Edwards, also known as Alan Lee Edwards, brings 30 years of heartfelt songwriting and returns with two new albums, Interpreting Heart Sounds Vol. I and Vol. II.
Produced by Edwards and mixed by legendary engineer John Wood—famed for his work with Nick Drake and Fairport Convention—the records showcase both dynamic band cuts and intimate, string-laced tracks.
Recorded at Asheville’s Echo Mountain, standout songs include “Caroline,” “Ride On,” “John on the Run,” and “How Blue.”
