Thirty years of shaping honest arrangements manifested in an intimate setting.. |
The Screen Door Room at Cecil T’s Mercantile welcomes A. Lee Edwards to Rome on Saturday, July 25, from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.
Edwards, also known as Alan Lee Edwards, has spent 30 years shaping songs with honesty, patience, and craft. His latest work marks a creative rebirth through two new albums, Interpreting Heart Sounds Vol. I and Vol. II. The records were produced by Edwards and mixed by legendary engineer John Wood, whose credits include Nick Drake, Fairport Convention, John Cale, Squeeze, and Richard and Linda Thompson. Recorded at Echo Mountain in Asheville, the albums move between full-band energy and stripped-down arrangements with strings. The songs are tender, reflective, and deeply rooted, including “Caroline,” “Ride On,” “John on the Run,” and “How Blue.”
Catch him live at The Screen Door Room, 7 Broad Street, Rome, GA. |
