Table Reads at RLT Explore Scripts and Build Community |
Featuring The Laramie Project and Rome Little Theatre gatherings |
Rome Little Theatre is thrilled to invite the community to its upcoming PLAYSPACE table read series, featuring the powerful play The Laramie Project.
Scheduled for June 24, 2026, at 6:30 PM, this event offers a unique opportunity for participants to engage directly with the script, exploring its themes and narratives in a collaborative setting.
Located at 502 E First St., Rome, GA 30161, the theatre provides a welcoming environment for both seasoned actors and newcomers alike.
PLAYSPACE has become a cornerstone of Rome Little Theatre's community outreach, fostering connections among theatre enthusiasts and encouraging active participation in the arts.
Over the past year, the program has welcomed new members, expanded its volunteer base, and celebrated several participants making their stage debuts.
As PLAYSPACE Director Alli Clark notes, "One year in, it's not just the next piece of literature we look forward to—it's the shared time, the thoughtful conversations, the tears, and the laughter that make this space so special."
The Laramie Project, written by Moisés Kaufman and members of the Tectonic Theater Project, delves into the community's response to the tragic 1998 murder of Matthew Shepard in Laramie, Wyoming.
The play is renowned for its emotional depth and exploration of human compassion and prejudice.
Participants must be 18 or older, and registration is required.
For more information and to sign up, please visit the Rome Little Theatre's official website.
Join us for an evening of engaging discussion, community building, and a shared love for theatre.
Come for the reads, stay for the community! |
