Seven Hills Spotlight has a new home for local events, and it is built for the way people actually plan their week.

The new Seven Hills Spotlight Events Calendar replaces the older calendar from our previous WordPress site and gives readers one simple place to browse what is happening in Rome, Floyd County, and the surrounding communities. The page currently features 50 upcoming events, with search tools and month-by-month browsing to help readers quickly find concerts, theatre, festivals, food events, community gatherings, and arts performances.

The calendar begins with Rome-area happenings like special food and beverage events at ChopHouse on Broad Street, Poe Night at La Scala, Roald Dahl’s Matilda the Musical at Rome City Auditorium, A Musical Sampler, Rome Shakespeare Festival events, concerts, Shorter University performances, Rome International Film Festival, RLT productions, and more.

But this calendar is not just for events inside the city limits. One of the goals of Seven Hills Spotlight is to help readers discover the best of Northwest Georgia and nearby communities — especially the events that are worth a short drive. That means you will also find listings from places like The GEM Theatre in Calhoun, Cartersville, Summerville, Ellijay, Waleska, Sandy Springs, Marietta, and Carrollton, alongside Rome’s own local stages and venues.
