Halloween costumes deserve somewhere to go after the candy bowl has been emptied.

Romehellion comes to The Vogue on Saturday, October 31, pairing live performances and DJ sets with costume contests, games and a decidedly louder approach to Halloween.

Presented by Broadly Speaking and Into the Past Vintage, the party takes place at 247 Broad Street in downtown Rome.

Think of it as an excuse to give that costume a proper night out instead of wearing it only to answer the door.

Music, costumes and a little friendly competition

The advertised lineup includes Southsyde53, 2002Nico, Emptyhands, Donny Hammonds, Mindfault, Darth Zaeder and poorbenny.

Live performances and DJ sets share the bill, with cash prizes advertised for costume contests.

Costumes are strongly encouraged, so this would be a good evening to put a little effort into your disguise.

The planned haunted game room adds cornhole and ping pong, while free raffles come courtesy of Into the Past Vintage and Daemiondesign.

Winning a costume prize might require creativity; losing at ping pong while dressed as a vampire merely requires showing up.

Know before you go

Romehellion’s event description advertises $12 admission and doors opening at 5 p.m., while the local tourism calendar lists Halloween at The Vogue at 7 p.m.

Check the ticket page for the latest timing and checkout total before making plans.

The detailed event description lists admission for ages 18 and older, with drinking restricted to 21 and older.

Bring valid identification and your ticket or receipt; tickets are listed as nonrefundable.

The venue’s broader Halloween plans also include a separate Dark Side costume party with a DJ and specials.

Check that event’s admission requirements separately rather than assuming the Romehellion ticket covers both.
