The race will conclude on Via di San Gregorio, offering a spectacular finish against the backdrop of ancient history.
In addition to the professional race, the Family Ride event will take place on the same day. This free ride invites families and cycling enthusiasts to pedal through a 6.8-kilometer course, starting from Viale delle Terme di Caracalla and ending at the official Giro d'Italia arch on Via di San Gregorio. The event aims to promote cycling among all age groups and has already seen over 4,000 participants register.
Later in the year, on September 22, 2024, Rome will host BiciRoma, a 27-kilometer ride through the city's historic center. Starting from Piazza del Popolo, cyclists will traverse routes that pass by landmarks such as Via del Corso, Piazza Venezia, and the Spanish Steps. The event is part of European Mobility Week and emphasizes sustainable urban mobility.
